Bounte turns trouble into hope through exploration, catharsis, and encouragement. This involves honesty of emotion, and determined advancement in a cool, measured way.
Our tone is always sincere, and always clear. We prefer short sentences that are easy to understand. We use grammar that lends itself to clarity, like always using the serial comma, and spelling out symbols and numbers.
Though our language is sincere and emotive, we are not gloomy. We can be humorous or light-hearted, but not cute, plucky, or goofy. We strive for clarity, but not simplicity. We are on-point, not trendy. We use language that is deliberate and accessible, without being heady or rigid.
Use the active voice. Avoid jargon and slang. Use positive messaging.

The loop aspect of the Bounte logo references base audio material, but also the idea of perseverance, repeatedly starting again. However, the arrow breaks from the confines of the loop, evolving and advancing source materials and patterns to new directions and purposes. As an evolution of Bounte’s original “wonky arrow” logo, this loop/arrow also references recycling, taking materials thought to be trashed, transforming them for new purposes, much as the old logo has been transformed into this stylized letter “b”.
Solid color ‘b’ combined with wordmark is the preferred usage, shown here with safe margin (01).
The logo without wordmark (02) can be used as long as there is supporting context. Can be used with effects or overlaid imagery, preferrably as the the main subject.
In situations without much context, a tagline can paired with the logo and wordmark to better establish the brand’s purpose (03).
A version is available for compositions that require a horizontal layout (04).
This color scheme is borrowed and augmented from old 3D anaglyph photos and movies. It invokes the retro-futurism of that technology, but presents it in a visually cleaner aesthetic.
Montserrat is our main font. It was rescued and revitalized by its creator, and then further iterated to be easier to read and use. It is widely available and has a full set of weights. Its horizontal stretch goes well with the ‘b’ logo.

MADE Evolve Sans has been chosen to pair with Montserrat, and the EVO variety was used in the formation of the Bounte wordmark. All-caps is preferred.

Based on 1.2 ratio. For example: 0.649em, 0.833em, 1em, 1.2em, 1.44em, 1.728 em, 2.074em. Adjust font-weights and letter-spacing to maintain block contrast of paragraphs and headlines across font sizes. Smaller sizes get a heavier weight, larger sizes a reduced weight.

Portrait photos are black and white, on a white background, with blue and red highlights reminiscent of 3D anaglyphs. The red/blue is removed from any skin or focal areas, bringing them into clean strong emphasis compared to noisier background.
Support photos are black and white, and while stock can be used to set a mood, images should not look canned or posed. Select candid or abstract images that suggest a movement from broken towards repurposed.
